Perfect Customers (August 18, 2003)

The most exciting news at SIA Consulting is that I have now become officially certified as a Womens Business Enterprise through the Houston WBE Alliance, a local chapter of the Womens Business Enterprise National Council.  So what does that all mean?

Companies that have Affirmative Action Plans and/or do business with the Federal Government have to demonstrate that they buy certain percentages of their goods and services from disadvantaged suppliers, which include small businesses, minority owned businesses and women owned businesses.  Now that SIA Consulting is certified as a women owned business, I can offer my services as a diversity supplier to many of the major corporations in the Houston area, as well as with government entities such as NASA.

Large companies in the Houston area are one target market for me, whether I am hired by the company or by an individual within the company.  I have done coaching with individuals in Shell, El Paso, Duke, Enron, Texas Instruments and Liberty Mutual.

Another niche I am targeting are small to mid-size companies in Houston, or even better in Fort Bend County, who want to achieve higher overall performance levels.  Im reaching out to Fort Bend clients via flyers in the Chamber of Commerce package and an upcoming article in UpClose magazine.

And Im always interested in clients who want coaching to help them change jobs or careers, whether they are currently employed or not.

Those are target populations, but there are also certain qualities of my perfect customers.   My Perfect Customer
